State record setter Wallace Hamilton
The 1910-1911 Track season began under the coaching of Roy T. Tenney.  Coach Tenney began his last season as head track coach.  Tenney's team worked hard and had a successful season.

The team participated in the Northwestern meet at Faribault and the Invitation Meet at Northrup Field.

The Minneapolis Conference Meet, held in June, was very dramatic.  The conference champion was not decided until after the final event.  West was declared the champion and North finished second, 1/4 poin ahead of the thrid place finisher. Wallace Hamilton set a new state record at the meet in the Hurdles.  Mr. Strauch and Mr. Gerdes (the Polars yearbook did not give their first names) also gained valuable point for the Polars.
