Golf was one of the newest sports added in the 1923-1924 school year. Coach Horace B. Street selected the team based on a school-wide tournament of those interested in playing golf. The top four scores made the team. The inaugural team consisted of Gordon Bennet, Edward Swanson, Theodore Parker and Kenneth McKenzie.
The team finished 10 strokes behind co-leaders East and Central in third place.
