In the second season of golf at North, the Polars continued the success they had in their first year.  In dual matches, the Polars defeated West, east, Roosevelt and Edison by relatively large margins (1925 yearbook).  North was looking forward to the next match, which pitted the Polars against reigning champion South. The Polars won a fierce battle.  The Polars won the match on the final hole by five strokes! The Polars finished the season against Central.  The team from Central left the Polars in shock when Central won by three strokes!  Because of the Polar loss to Central, there was a tie for the conference championship.  Because of this, there was a playoff between North and South.  The match, like the previous one, was settled at the final hole.  South 318, North 321.

The Polars represented Minneapolis against the St. Paul champion, St. Paul Central.  The yearbook calls this a “practice game,” however, the North team set a state record of 310 during this match.
