The Polar gymnasts were trying to recapture the conference title which they won in the 1923-1924 season. The team was composed of five veterans who wanted to regain the gold.
The city meet was close. Central won with 2127.50 points, followed by Edison with 2083.91. The Polars finished third with 2079.25 points, followed by Roosevelt, 2037.50, and West, 1727.50.
In the Northwestern meet, the Polars again finished third behind Central and Edison. The Polars scored 92.49. Central, 95.28, and Edison, 94.74, barely beat out North.
