1925-1926 Men's Track Season

The 1925-1926 outdoor track season was not a successful one.  Only two lettermen returned from the prior season. 

 

Three Polars placed at the Carleton Meet.  Lloyd Peterson finished second in the high hurdles.  Joe Havstad was second in the 440 yard dash.  Paul Ziegelmaier finished third in the javelin.

the Staet Meet at the University of Minnesota, Peterson again finished second in the high hurdles and Havstad finished third in the 440.  The relay team finished in fourth place and Eldon Nelson and Elmer Lindfors tied with four others for third in the high jump.

 

At the City meet, the Polars scored three points finishing in 6th place.  The order of finish was Central-44, West-39, Roosevelt-29, Edison-18, South-8, North-3 and Marshall-2.
