The Polars first game started out slowly against Edison.  Poor play through the first two periods gave the Wizards a 1-0 lead.  The Polars tied the game in the third period, thus sending the game into overtime.  The Polars scored a goal two minutes into overtime for their first win, 2-1.

The second game against South was just as close.  The This time, however, the Polars were on the losing end of a 2-1 game.

North was not really in the next two games, Against West, the Polars were busy trying to protect their net.  West scored six times compared to North’s one goal.  Washburn scored only five goals, but North did not score any in the next game.

North played tough against Central.  “Verge” Johnson scored the first goal of the game for the Polars, but Central played a tough defense and the Polars scored no more.  Central managed to score two goals and win the game.

The final game of the season was against Roosevelt.  North won its second game of the season 5-1.

Virgil Johnson, the leader on the team was named to the second team all-conference squad.
