Jacara Mickey: Senior—First year cheering—JaCara is attracted to cheerleading because of the fun of it.
Kaitlin Ellis: Senior—Second year cheering—also played tennis, softball and basketball—Earned letters in tennis, softball and cheerleading—Named Most Valuable Player on her Freshman basketball team. Kaitlin is attracted to cheerleading because she likes to stay in shape. She says cheering is really hard and it should be considered a sport.
Avery Webb: Senior—Third year cheering—also participates in Track and Field—Named Most Valuable Cheerleader during the 2006-2007 season. Avery is attracted to cheerleading because of the uniform and the fact that she gets to be loud and energetic. Most people do not know that cheerleading is hard work and tiring.
Ebony Dixon: Junior—First year cheering—Ebony is attracted to cheering because the cheerleaders have fun. They get along and are the best cheerleaders in the school district. She says learning the cheers is not as easy as most people think and that everything has to be perfect when they perform.
Selina Sumrall: Junior—First year cheering—Selina cheers because it is a way she can bring happiness to others. She ssays cheering takes a lot of hard work and is not just talking out loud.
Makada Cook: Junior—First year cheering—Makada is attracted to cheerleading because she loves North and has a lot of school spirit. She used to drill and be loud. Now, cheering tales a lot of practice and can be very tiring
Andranita Smith-Shannon: Sophomore—Second year cheering—Andranita say she loves the attention cheering brings to her and that cheering is very hard work.
Melissa Potts: Freshman—First year cheering—also plays basketball—Melissa says she likes to cheer and it is hard work. She say attending two practices during the same season (both basketball and cheerleading-she is on the Freshman Lady Polars team) can be a challenge.
Teanna Watson: Freshman—First year cheering—Teanna enjoys cheering because the teammates and coach are nice. Cheering to Teanna is not all fun and games, it is hard work.
Head Coach Jaclyn Johnson: First year coaching at North--2000 Graduate of North--Cheered, played volleyball and ran track while a student at North. Had the privilidge of cheering at state basketball tournaments in 1999 and 2000
