We Can Meet the Needs of your Special Education Students.

Academic Needs:

NCHS has structured it's Special Education departments to be cross-categorical so as to have the resources to program your student at his/her instructional level, no matter what Academic Federal Setting (I or III) is reflected in their IEP.

Students with needs from the most basic level through those with minimal needs are all able to access the most appropriate service in each area of academics. We have academic programs from those with severe cognitive delays, to those students who are fully mainstreamed and only need monitoring.

Our staff is highly trained and we use the most highly regarded research-based teaching strategies to ensure that your student can meet their maximum potential.

Behavior Needs:

If your student has mild to moderate behavior concerns, we have 2 behavior specialists who have extensive experience working with behaviorally challenged students. We are trained to work with your student in this setting or assist the parent in finding the most appropriate setting for their student.
