Our wake-up call every morning...they truely have earned their name!!
Teaching Goal

1.  To create a classroom where learning is accepted and practiced.

2.  To work with other teaching professionals to ensure students are prepared for either higher educational goals or entrance into the workforce.

My Background

I was raised in a small rural community (Cokato) about 60 minutes from Minneapolis.  My family moved to Plymouth when I was in the 8th grade.  I graduated from Wayzata High School.  I moved to Oregon after graduating from high school and ended up at Oregon State after several years of living in the state.  In college I was involved with many research projects.  I studied newt hiding behavior, scorpion mating behavior, and monitored the number of an invasive species of barnacle on the coast.

I enjoy traveling.  I most recently went to Nicaragua for 5 weeks and Costa Rica for 10 days.  I studied along side another North High teacher in the warm tropical rainforests.  We studied butterfly migration patterns and primate behavior.

My dream is to spend a summer on one of the many Galapagos islands off the coast of South America.  I would love to scuba dive in the warm waters and see animals that exist no where else on the planet.
