Welcome to a world of new ideas through literature!
My name is Ms. Hiatt and I bring more than a decade of teaching experience with me to NAAC. I have been teaching at North since 2014 and I am thrilled to be part of the 10th grade team! I grew up in SoCal, but can deal with the snow and the cold like a true Minnesotan.
I teach five sections of 10th grade English and an Advisory class. In class, be prepared to: Read complex texts that show a range of human experiences; use words as an artform to describe ideas, emotions, and personal perspectives; debate and explore new concepts that challenge the "social norms" of our world. Look at poetry, music, articles, blogs, and novels to analyze the way we think about our existence.
