History Day Achievements

Five North High students competed at the state level competition for history day this year!  After winning the building level competition and regional level competition, these students represented North high school well at the state level competition. 

Senior Group Exhibit Division:  Johntae Wiley and

Niambi McClain researched the racial divide in the women's movement.

Senior Individual Exhibit Division:  Safiyyah Abdu-Shahid researched racism in early film. 

Senior Individual Perfomance: Demarko Beamon created and performed a poem about the Indian Removal Act

In addition, Amaya was one of four students in the state to receive an honorable mention at the state level.
