On Wednesday, January 31st, legendary music songwriters and producers, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, were at North High School for an all-school talk with the North High Scholars.

Lewis, a North High School Alumnus, talked about the time he spent at North telling scholars to, “Figure out what your value is.” He added it’s important to be honorable, stating, “Honor is doing right when no one looks.” His partner Jimmy Jam, also from Minneapolis, said he and Lewis have worked together for over 40 years off of a simple handshake.

After the whole-school discussion the two sat down with select Journalism and Radio students and conducted an interview on KBEM, Jazz 88. Lewis and Jam had students say what was important to them. Asking what they, the students, wanted to see and have for educational use here at North.

One more amazing opportunity for North High students!
