Hi there! My name is Lars Lindqvist and I am the 9th and 10th grade English Support teacher at North High School. I have been teaching at North High School since 2015, and was responsible for teaching the first English support program here at North High. This year I will be teaching English 10 where our goal will be to how to read critically, as well as how to write persuasively and expressively. Literacy is crucial to success in life beyond the classroom, so it will be our goal in English to best prepare students in ways to use their reading and writing abilities for continued achievement in high school and whatever college/career opportunities they have in the future.
As for myself, I graduated in 2015 from University of Wisonsin- Madison (go Badgers!), but grew up and went to high school in the Twin Cities. In my own time, I love to watch soccer, read books, and traveling. I am very proud to be the son of a father who immigrated from Sweden (which explains my strange name) and a mother who has taught for 30+ years. I am so happy to be teaching and living in my favorite city in the world , Minneapolis.
