Hello, my name is Chris Skoglund. This is my fourth year teaching in Minneapolis Public Schools and my second year at North. This year, I will be teaching Human Geography, African American History and AP Human Geography within the North Academy of Arts and Communications.  I am also an assistant Track and Field coach and enjoy long distance running. I love the subject of Geography because it allows people to learn and experience customs and traditions from other cultures.

When I am not teaching, I spend my time volunteering as a firefighter for the city of Eden Prairie.  During my free time, I love to spend time outside enjoying the weather through various activities. I enjoy snowboarding and X country skiing in the winter and biking and camping during the summer. I was born in Minneapolis and grew up in Cambridge, but spent much of my time in Minneapolis with family and friends. I went to school at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where I received my bachelors in Secondary Education.

I am very excited to become a part of the Polar community and support all the students who walk through the doors of North. Go Polars!
