A certificate showing North has been accepted to the Festival of the Fringe in Scotland

The North High Arts Program has been accepted into the Americna High School Theatre Festival in Edinburgh, Scottland.  The American High School Theatre Festival is a one-of a kind- theatre opportunity that runs in conjunction with the world's largest performing arts festival, the world-renowned Edinburgh Festival Fringe.  Accepted theatre groups spend a total of two week in the UK, performing their own production, attending Fringe shows, and touring Scotland and England.

North High's accepted proposal was written by dance teacher, Tamiko French.  The performance is called "The Beautiful Ugly" and explores the struggle and beauty in the experiences of North High youth.  The show will feature original visual, costumes, music, video, vocal, theatre and dance all in one show.

Participating students will receive high school credit and can earn college credit for this experience.  Ms. French will be leading fundraising to make this amazing opportunity a reality.

If you would like to contribute a donation to this opportunity for students, please contact Ms. Katy Marsnik at 612-668-1710
