Green Card Youth Voices Exhibit

This exhibit was inspired by the acclaimed book Green Card Youth Voices: Immigration Stories from a Minneapolis High School. It features 21 self-standing, retractable banners that display full color portraits, 200 word bio and personal quote by the Minneapolis students highlighted in the book. There is also a QR code link to a video narrative from the Green Card Voices Website.

We are excited to be able to host this exhibit here at North as the Northside community is richly comprised of a diverse group of residents, many of whom immigrated from other parts of the world. Knowing what students in our community have been through to be in this country and the dreams they aspire to can be an inspiration for all and a catalys for truly getting to know people different from ourselves - their story, their viewpoint, their life.

We encourage the community to come by the school and take a look at the exhibit. It will be on display in the Parent Room - 320, accross from the main office. The exhibit will be available for viewing beginning Monday afternoon (approximately 12 noon - 4:00), Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all day (8:00 - 4:00) and Friday morning (8:00-noon). Parents and community members are welcome to come at any time.
