A room for parents to utilize for meetings, research and more

Parents/Families are essential partners in the education of our children. Studies have shown that students with involved parents or family members achieve at much higher rates.

North High welcomes and encourages families to be active participants and heard partners in our goal to make each child ready for post-secondary success. There are a variety of ways families can be involved including:

  • Attending parent meetings, school functions/events. See calendar of events (link on home page) for specifics.
  • Keeping in regular contact with your child's teachers and school counselor.
  • Regularly reviewing your child's attendance, class assignments and grades via parent portal. http://north.mpls.k12.mn.us/parent_portal_information
  • Inquiring about any open parent positions on school oversight and leadership committees such as Site Council.
  • Volunteering in classrooms or other areas of interest. http://north.mpls.k12.mn.us/how_to_volunteer
  • Becoming an active participant with the Polar Family Organization. Contact them via email at northpolarparents@gmail.com

For district level opportunities for involvement please visit: http://osfce.mpls.k12.mn.us/
